Throughout 2024, athletes were able to earn points for the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour Rankings. The rankings are based on their position after the completion of the US Open. Once the US Open is over, the top eight athletes on the rankings from the men's, women's and quads categories will be invited to the NEC Singles & UNIQLO Doubles Wheelchair Tennis Masters.

Multiple disciplines

During the Wheelchair Tennis Masters, athletes compete for the title in two categories: singles and doubles. Within these categories, there are three disciplines: men's, women's and quad. Athletes in the quad discipline have both upper and lower body limitations. Depending on their classification, participants can compete in one or both categories.

The Wheelchair Tennis Masters is the first major wheelchair tennis event in the Netherlands after the Paralympic Games. This is a unique opportunity to see Paralympians in action live and experience wheelchair tennis at the very highest level. Among the participants are several Dutch athletes from the top 8, including Aniek van Koot, Niels Vink and Sam Schröder.

17 countries

A total of 40 athletes will participate in the Wheelchair Tennis Masters. As many as 17 different nationalities will be represented during the tournament. Participants come to Arnhem not only from Europe, but also from countries such as Japan, Colombia and Australia.
