On Saturday, the doubles finals took place. Niels Vink and Sam Schröder, supported by a predominantly orange-colored crowd, lived up to their favorite role in the quads category, for tennis players with disabilities of both arms and legs. The Paralympic gold medalists also crowned themselves champions in Arnhem by winning 6-3 / 6-0 over the duo Sasson (Israel) / Wagner (USA).
The final in the men's doubles produced a surprising winner. The first-seeded British pair Hewett / Reid lost to the duo De la Puente (Spain) / Gerard (Belgium) 6-4 / 6-2.
In the women's doubles, the Chinese duo Wang / Zhu played against Aniek van Koot and Jiske Griffioen. The Dutch ladies won convincingly 6-1 / 6-1, much to the delight of the home crowd.
