The final day of 2024 Wheelchair Tennis Masters was opened by the men, where Tokito Oda took on Gordon Reid. Oda completed his glory year by grabbing the Masters title after Paralympic gold. After a shaky start and a lengthy injury treatment, he still pulled out the win: 2-6 / 6-0 / 6-2.
In the women's singles final, Yui Kamiji was the player to beat. In Paris she captured the Paralympic title at the expense of Diede de Groot. Last weekend it was Japan - Netherlands again in the final. Aniek van Koot, who played a home match, won the first set convincingly. In the second set Kamiji came back strongly from a deficit, after which she also won the third set and with that the title: 0-6 / 6-4 / 6-4.
In the quad final Niels Vink and Sam Schröder were again on center court. While they won the doubles together on Saturday, on Sunday they had to battle it out among themselves to see who could crown themselves world singles champions. This last final of the weekend went in all directions, but was decided in favor of Vink: 4-6 / 6-3 / 6-4.
